So hey, dear reader if you’re still out there and still reading, it’s been a long, long while. Three years in fact since my last post. Six years since this blog began. And sure a lot has changed. For starters I hit the big four-oh, I’m now a guinea pig momma to six fur babies and a home educator to my youngest. Life is very busy.
As for my writing; in truth I haven’t been able to write for three years now. Part emotional block, part burnout, I don’t know. What I do know is how this can make you feel like a failure, how if anyone asks you about your writing there is something of a hint of shame when you answer. Which is stupid, right? Life happens, we crumble, we fall, we deal, we learn, we grow. Probably some of you out there can relate. And maybe this – this trying to write a blog more regularly – maybe it will kick start something, some muscle memory. I guess we’ll see.
So instead I’m going to talk about guinea pigs and books and culture (oh my!) Maybe a bit of art and photography (don’t expect miracles and you’ll never be disappointed!) Opinions, essays and hopefully a bit of writing.
